2019 Summer Workshop Schedule

This summer, RELATE invites you to participate in an intensive communication training workshop from 4:30-7:00 pm on Wednesdays (May 29 - July 24). The workshop is designed for STEM graduate students and postdocs with a defined research project. If you are interested in improving your communication skills and engaging in scientific communication with lay audiences, then the RELATE workshop is for you!

If you participate in the STEM Communication Fundamentals Workshop, you will:

-Learn effective lay-audience communication fundamentals, such as knowing your audience and telling a story with your research
-Build a polished short talk, aimed at a lay audience, on your research project or an area of interest in your field
-Practice your developing communication skills with public engagement and outreach opportunities

If you are interested in participating in this summer's workshop, please attend one of our required information sessions:

4-5pm on Wednesday, April 24 in Hatcher Graduate Library Gallery (1st floor)

OR

5-6pm on Thursday, April 25 in Duderstadt Center Room 1180
